24 Ιουλ 2018 · When he receives an email with a .pdf attachment, it has the ext. as .pdf, but the icon is chrome, and when you click to open, it opens in a chrome tab, not adobe. I have pretty much the same setup as the user having the issue, but I cannot recreate.

19 Σεπ 2015 · to go to chrome://settings/content and enable "Open PDF files in the default PDF viewer application" which is at the extreme bottom of the dialog. As of August 2017 or Chrome 60, this changed (again). You can no longer just disable the viewer, you can only set Chrome to download the PDF or not. The setting can be found here:

I've changed the default "Opens With "/app to PDF X, but the file icons still look like a Google HTML file instead of a PDF file type.
22 Ιουλ 2021 · Whenever I click to preview attachments in my email while using Chrome, I get the loading symbol and a popup window telling me to choose where to download the file. I do NOT want to download, I want to preview as I have been able to in the past.
