ODU email accounts are automatically granted to new employees when they are hired. Faculty/staff accounts are provided through Office365, and can be accessed from Outlook or online at outlook.odu.edu. As of February 1, 2023, new student email accounts are provided through Microsoft Office365.
Go to outlook.odu.edu and log in with your ODU email address and MIDAS password. Learn how to set up and use email on different platforms (including mobile). Multiple faculty/staff members can manage a single email address.
Go to outlook.odu.edu and log in with your student email address and MIDAS password. Access your email (plus news, announcements, University services and more) at my.odu.edu. Add your student email as an Office365 account to any of these supported apps: Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail. ODU faculty and staff also use Office365 for email.
MIDAS (Monarch Identification and Authorization System) is ODU's log-in and password management system. Use your MIDAS ID and password to log in to most University applications and services, such as email, Canvas, myODU, Leo Online, Banner and many other important resources.
The portal pulls together the ODU online resources you need most, providing easy and centralized access to: Student Email; Canvas; Leo Online (class registration, schedule, and grades) University publications, event listings & announcements; Links to academic resources... and more. Log into your myODU portal with your MIDAS ID and password.
You will login with your Faculty/Staff email address and your MIDAS password. If you do not know your Faculty/Staff email address, you can find it by navigating to midas.odu.edu in your browser. You will see it listed on the right hand side after you have logged in.
