The Black Swan Project is the project name given by Odyssey Marine Exploration for its discovery and recovery of an estimated US$ 500 million (£ 314 million) worth of silver and gold coins from the ocean floor. Initially Odyssey kept the origin of the treasure confidential.

9 Μαΐ 2018 · The Odyssey Marine Exploration, a Florida based company, conducted the Black Swan Project. The project led to the discovery of gold and silver coins weighing an estimated 17 tons. The coins were recovered from the wreck of a Spanish frigate ship, which sank in 1804 off the Portuguese coast.
In May 2007, the company announced the recovery of 17 tons of mainly silver and some gold coins from a site in an undisclosed location in international waters, which the company code-named the "Black Swan".

4 Φεβ 2012 · Spain awarded $500 million “Black Swan” treasure. In May of 2007, Odyssey Marine Exploration, a privately owned marine treasure-hunting company, discovered a Spanish shipwreck somewhere on the Atlantic seabed. Odyssey refused to divulge the exact location or the name of the ship.
