Numerous locations in the Lower Mississippi Valley and northwestern Alabama reported 3 to 5 inches of rain, as did a swath in north-central Kentucky and isolated spots in western Tennessee, northwestern Texas, eastern Oklahoma, southwestern Kansas, and western Iowa.

28 Οκτ 2024 · The latest drought monitor map from the Oklahoma Mesonet shows dry conditions intensifying, and 34 counties are currently under a burn ban. Drought is taking its toll on agricultural producers and two of the state’s largest commodities — cattle and wheat.
The Drought Monitor summary map identifies general areas of drought and labels them by intensity. D1 is the least intense level and D4 the most intense. Drought is defined as a moisture deficit bad enough to have social, environmental or economic effects.
