Epic Rides puts on an awesome 24 hour mountain bike event north of Tucson called 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo. Over night the race area becomes a mini city in the middle of nowhere with food and bike vendors, volunteers, racers and support crew who are camped out, and a huge tent where racers check in and out to keep track of the laps.
The “24 Hours in the Old Pueblo” is a team relay and solo rider mountain bike event. The race begins at 12:00 PM on Saturday and ends 24 long grueling hours later at 12:00 PM Sunday. Both team and solo riders will compete for prizes.
24 Hours in the Old Pueblo has long reigned as one of the premier events in endurance mountain bike racing. This storied racing history has bled over into the rest of the Tucson mountain biking scene, and is largely responsible for the renown the region has gained .

24 Hours in the Old Pueblo (24HOP) is one of the oldest and largest 24-hour races in the world. 24-hour races are nearly extinct, but while dozens of other 24-hour races have died out over the years, this 21-year-old race keeps chugging along!
24 Hours in the Old Pueblo is a 16 mile popular intermediate race route located near Fortified Peak Arizona. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a moderate overall physical rating.
