17 June 2002 (Update) Members. Yes. Quest series. Mahjarrat, #5. Lead developer (s) Paul Gower. Temple of Ikov is a quest featuring Lucien, a Mahjarrat. The quest revolves around the infiltration of the Temple of Ikov in order to steal a powerful artefact known as the Staff of Armadyl.
The dungeon is also the only place that contains the Boots of lightness (Except through Perdu). Players must bring a Knife or a Slash weapon, as well as a Light source, and go down the stairs near the entrance of the dungeon.
The Boots of lightness are weight-reducing clothing. Although they (or some other weight-reducing item) are required during Temple of Ikov, they are still obtainable and wearable by any member, even if they haven't started the quest.
Start the quest by talking to Lucien in the Flying Horse Inn. Tell him that you’re a great hero. He says that he wants you to get the Staff of Armadyl from the Temple of Ikov (located near Hemenster). He also tells you that the monster that guards the Staff, can only be slayed with a weapon of ice.
Enter the temple south of the Ranging Guild. If you require boots of lightness: Go west down the stairs, slash the web, and take the boots. (Light source required) Go through the north gate with the Pendant of lucien equipped.
Boots of lightness may be obtained at the far end of this room if the player uses a knife or bladed weapon to slash through the web that blocks the doorway. Near the end of the dungeon, there is a ladder leading up to a small building with a locked door adjacent to McGrubor's Wood .
