While there is no hard and fast rule on how thick a watch band should be, the style guides will tell you that a band should be about half the width of the case’s diameter. Examples: Case Diameter: 36mm, Strap Size: 18mm. Case Diameter: 40mm, Strap Size: 20mm. Case Diameter: 44mm, Strap Size: 22mm.

To get the most accurate measurement, hold either your watch or watch band up to the printed chart. Measure the width of the watch band itself or the space between the watch’s lugs. All of the watch bands on our website show two width measurements, for example : 22x16.
