10 Ιουλ 2012 · This plug is accessed from a core plug in the back of the block and needs an allen wrench to be removed. When you get this plug out, run a wire through it to make sure oil will flow, this is how the distributor gear is oiled.
11 Φεβ 2007 · I should just be able to splice in a new plug, as there is plenty of plug cord for use. Anyone know where I can get a replacement plug to splice in? I would assume Home Depot or the like might have one, as it's just a standard grounded plug, but I'm not sure if they'll have something I could use.

6 Νοε 2011 · I thought about getting a light socket adapter but i'm sure the block heater is going to be pulling more amps than the sockets designed for. So..... any ideas, greatly appreciated:S:
10 Ιαν 2015 · Instead of peeling back the factory harness to gain some length of the heater cord, I bought a 6ft 14 awg extension cord off ebay for 4 shipped. Depending on where you want to mount the outlet, you may need to either add a length of extra cord or peel back the factory harness to get more length of the heater cord.
3 Οκτ 2010 · Step 1. Cut off the damaged plug with your wire cutter and discard it. Step 2. Use a utility knife to cut through the cord's insulation, 3/4-inch from the cord's end. Pull off the outer insulating sheath and expose the individual wires within. Step 3. Separate the individual wires.
