The UTHS Empower Academy offers adult learners, age 21+, the opportunity to complete their high school diploma or prepare and take the GED exams. Students enrolled in the UTHS Empower Academy will complete courses from home utilizing a fully online, asynchronous instructional program.

The High School Equivalency (HSE) program prepares students for a Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency exam (GED, and HiSET tests). Classes are offered at no cost and includes basic reading, writing, math, social studies, and science in a classroom environment.
