20 Ιαν 2023 · Much to my surprise, a comprehensive kit pair (Monacor Katana-M1) was currently available on Amazon for the princely sum of £427 (2 x £213.50). Except for tools, you get everything you need, from the baffle and drivers right down to screws, wood glue and solder, even small rubber self-adhesive pads for the bases.
7 Μαρ 2022 · The crossovers for this speaker is 180 Hz bass/mid and 700 Hz mid/tweeter. I use a DEQX DSP for 48 dB per octave crossover slopes. The DEQX corrects for the amplitude vs. frequency as well as time corrections.
17 Νοε 2022 · Open baffle (OB) speakers seem to be becoming more and more popular at the moment. The possible advantages of an OB speaker do not need to be listed here, they can be found on every manufacturer's website or audio forums.
I am thinking about building myself a pair of open baffle speakers. I am thinking about using my two crown xls 2002 amps and my moon 240i to drive them. The crown amps driving 12" woofer + 8" woofer and the moon for a fullrange driver.
