For an Open Baffle speaker using a passive crossover we actually require a driver with a high Qts. A Qts > 0.77 will mean that the amplifier will find it easier to drive the speaker as the frequency becomes closer to the system resonance.

You can see the bracing arrangement used to reinforce the baffle, attach the removable full range driver's baffle, attach the feet, and provide a method for mounting the terminals for the two pairs of speaker cables required for a bi-amped configuration.
5 Φεβ 2014 · So my recommendation is if you want to use the tube amp(s) start thinking about using an active crossover, use the crossover on both drivers. I use 2nd order filters with my active crossover and they blend the OB drivers really well.
