15 Απρ 2003 · We review research on and the practice of Organization Development. Organization development has been an active area for research during the past decade, and current research benefits from well-developed theoretical frameworks of organization change.
Organization development is the process of increasing organizational effec- tiveness and facilitating personal and organizational change through the use of interventions driven by social and behavioral science knowledge.
On the basis of an interdisciplinary literature review, Part I introduces four basic types of process theories that explain how and why change unfolds in social or biological entities: life-cycle, teleological, dialectical, and evolutionary theories.
