11 Σεπ 2021 · My controller can be detected in Steam and works fine in Big Picture mode but couldn't be detected in some games marked with support of controller. It works in some other games though. My setup: Controller: Xbox Elite Wireless Controller 2. OS: Mac OS Big Sur 11.5.2. Game that didn't work: Shovel Knight, Metaverse Keeper.

uninstalled steam on ssd, using a handy uninstaller software, then rebooted pc, re-configured steam to use my controller again, tryed running a game, and controller works again, and games (TWD:Final Season), aren ot crashing any more. happy days.
15 Οκτ 2017 · I've tried different ways (Such as updating it's Drivers, connecting using a Micro-USB Cable, connecting via Bluetooth, using TocaEdit Xbox 360 Controller Emulator and restarting Steam/Windows/Controller), but nothing solved it.
The controller did NOT yet work with any games. To make the controller work for a game, go (in Big Picture mode) to the game, then "Manage Game" > Steam Input: Controller Options > "Steam Input Per-Game Setting": "Forced Off". See instructions in this video, which covers PS4 controllers however.

9 Μαρ 2024 · I once tried to play with an Xbox controller on Steam through my PC, but it wasn't working correctly at all! Luckily for us, there's an option in Steam to test out the controller before you enter a game.
I have a MacBook Pro running macOS High Sierra 10.13.4. I've been connecting an Xbox One controller wirelessly through Bluetooth to play games on Steam and it has worked fine. But recently, the Xbox controller no longer works with Steam.
