8 Μαρ 2016 · There's almost no information on the Orvis DXR series reels here. I have one with a spare spool. When removed from the frame of the reel, one spool has a cork disk in a circular hollow that is directly under the crank when everything is assembled.
4 Μαρ 2012 · Using the correct Philip's screw driver; remove the screw holding the pawl in place. Change the direction of the pawl opposite to what it is curently pointed (from pointing left to pointing right) and put the retaining screw back. Try the reel....................
12 Μαρ 2012 · I think this reel has not been fished at least cannot find any obvious flaws.It is in the box and comes with instructions.It is a great size for a switch rod . the drag is adequate the way it is set up but the drag can be adjusted to higher levels i desired. ... Orvis DXR fly reel
28 Φεβ 2001 · I have fished with an Orvis DXR for the past 3 years. It is an excellent reel with a finish that is hard to match. The first season I had it I lost it overboard in Plymouth attached to a Loomis IMX 9wt. I found it the next morning due to some new moon minus tides and a bit of luck.
