8 Μαρ 2016 · Orvis DXR. There's almost no information on the Orvis DXR series reels here. I have one with a spare spool. When removed from the frame of the reel, one spool has a cork disk in a circular hollow that is directly under the crank when everything is assembled. The other spool has no cork.
The DXR was made by Lamson for Orvis. This has a 3 3/4" diameter with a 1 5/8" frame width. This reel consists of a large arbor design for faster retrieval and less line memory, a powerful adjustable drag system which is sealed helping to pro.
28 Φεβ 2001 · I have fished with an Orvis DXR for the past 3 years. It is an excellent reel with a finish that is hard to match. The first season I had it I lost it overboard in Plymouth attached to a Loomis IMX 9wt. I found it the next morning due to some new moon minus tides and a bit of luck.
Black anodized reel finish. Rear disc drag with rear drag adjuster lever. Reel comes with WF8 F fly line and backing. Quick release spool lever. Comes stored in Orvis tan and green zippered reel case. Reel is in very good fishing condition. $150.
ORVIS DXR MULTIPLIER 9/10 FLY REEL. Smart new multiplier from Orvis in excellent condition. Features 9-position drag, “frameless” design, extra-durable finish. Spooled with good Cortland 444 wt8F line. This is an excellent reel for salmon, steelhead, or light to medium salt water fishing.
For sale here is an Orvis DXR 5/6 fly reel and spare spool in excellent+ condition. The reel features an adjustable disc drag that is quite strong. LHW or RHW.
