Players can gain up to around 80,000–85,000 experience per hour at level 60, increasing to around 100,000–105,000 experience per hour at level 67. Before level 60, players can only expect to gain around 55,000–60,000 experience per hour with 3 traps.
With some prep work and an "efficient enough" setup, you can net 160k and ~15 rumour completions per hour. Those are my consistent rates from 80-86 Hunter, though this would be perfectly viable from 72 onward, if a bit slower.
Using the recommended block list below, players can finish ~14 Master rumours and earn 245,000+ Hunter XP per hour at level 99 with access to the Hunter cape. Below 99, rates will be closer to 230,000 accounting for higher travel time back to Wolf.
You can get up to 195k XP per hour with tick manipulation or 140k XP per hour without. Red chinchompas are best hunted in Feldip hills. You can hunt in this region in the outer world, or you can use the private Hunting grounds with the Hard Western Provinces Diary.

Hunter is a skill that is commonly trained passively through bird house trapping. It is trained mostly as normal, however, an emphasis is placed on gathering ingredients for Herblore and Ranged. At higher levels, ironmen will hunt chinchompas and salamanders to aid in ranged training.
