Melee training involves training Attack, Strength, Defence, and Hitpoints through combat. Ironman melee training is similar to the normal training methods, with a heavy emphasis on Slayer for resources.
So... train your agility to 40 at Varrock, then complete Rune Mysteries Quest and Priest in Peril, and get your agility level to 50 at Canifis. Next, get 52 Agility at Falador, and then go on to the wilderness course.
After finishing the easy Ardougne Diary, the Ardougne cloak 1 allows double death runes (200) for traded-in cats, useful for ironman accounts who don't want to train Runecraft to 65 early game. It is also one of the best easily-obtainable member capes in the early game.
At higher levels, melee stats can be trained in the Nightmare Zone. Using normal customisable rumble with absorption potions offers a very straightforward and the most AFK-able way of training melee stats in the game, allowing the player to stay in combat for 20 minutes without any player input.
Obtain as many useful pieces of quest/activity related combat and utility gear as possible. To overall set you up to be able to grind whatever skills need to be trained for the next quest or set of quests after there’s nothing left to chain together (i.e. the end of the “early game”).
