Clinically, most osteosarcoma patients present with pain, usually with swelling or a palpable mass identified at the site of the pain . Histologic diagnosis of osteosarcoma is based on morphology as identified by radiograph [ 16 , 59 ].
The main side effects (for example, hypothyroidy, hypertension, and proteinuria) are usually manageable by dose reduction and symptomatic measures. The relation between efficacy and observed side effects is not clear.

1 Δεκ 2020 · In this article, we have reviewed epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of osteosarcoma and we have focused on different methods of immunotherapy including vaccines, cell-based immunotherapy, cytokines, and monoclonal antibodies.
Indeed, standard chemotherapeutic protocols have considerable acute and late side effects, including leukopenia, liver and kidney functional impairment, neurotoxicity, gastrointestinal reactions and cardiomyopathy, among others, that can be severe and potentially permanent [ 14, 15, 16 ].
