10 Ιουν 2005 · I worked for a while to come up with a feasible formula working between 0 and 100°F to provide an enthalpy value based on dry bulb temperature and relative humidity. It uses a polynomial model to match Psat to temperature in order to avoid referencing a table (I wanted it to be able to work by a simple math equation...no steps.)
LearnChemE has several formats of steam tables generated from IAPWS formulae! Download Excel (.xlsx), CSV, and JSON (MIT Public Use License).
30 Ιουλ 2019 · Using the definition G = H - TS (Gibbs Energy = Enthalpy - Temperature x Entropy), you can use the available functions in the DWSIM Excel Add-In to validate the results. For more details, download this Excel sheet which contains an example of a flash calculation validation.
Integration of Excel into thermodynamics courses requires finding a suitable method of finding properties on steam tables. A recent internet search revealed three Excel-based macros which are suitable for computing steam properties in a spreadsheet.
In SI units, the temperature can be in degrees Celsius or kelvins; in engineering units, the temperature can be in degrees Fahrenheit or Rankine.*. The user can select any pair of properties from the following set to specify the state: pressure, volume, temperature, internal energy, entropy, enthalpy, and quality.
The steam tables application calculates 30 thermodynamic and transport properties of water and steam. It allows 16 different combinations of input variables to be used for calculations. Input variables that can be used are: Pressure. Temperature.
Three Excel-based macros (Holmgren, Spang, and McGuire) are described that can be used to compute steam properties directly in an Excel spreadsheet without referring to published tables. This allows thermodynamics calculations and examples to be set up, solved, and documented efficiently in Excel.
