An Overseas Service Ribbon is a service military award of the United States military which recognizes those service members who have performed military tours outside the borders of the United States of America.

Authorized foreign decorations of the United States military are those military decorations which have been approved for wear by members of the United States armed forces but whose awarding authority is the government of a country other than the United States.
This ribbon was designed to recognize military personnel who have served outside the continental United States border (including Hawaii and Alaska). A member can receive this award after they have served 90 days or more at a foreign post and is subsequently rewarded a bronze oak leaf per ribbon.
