17 Οκτ 2008 · The 147 grn Flat Points make a good load for Bowling Pin and Steel Plate shooting. Stick with any Hollowpoint or Federal EFMJ loading for Self Defense.
18 Ιαν 2021 · It seems like if there’s going to be problems with 147, it’s either going to be the magazine/follower or the blunt left bottom edge of the feed ramp (which appears to be resolved on recent pistols by the revised sharper/flatter transition edge on the ramp).
19 Δεκ 2016 · I load Hornady 147 gr. XTPs from 1.142"/29mm to 1.161"/29.5mm depending on the powder used. With a powder like N320 and a poly-coated bullet you wwon't need to increase the charge by much to stay at 950 FPS.
17 Μαΐ 2019 · 5.8 grains of AA#7 gets me a pretty consistent 130 PF with 147 grain xtreme plated. Shoot accurate and feeds reliably. I also use that load with hollwpoints for carry guns and it works well.
19 Σεπ 2010 · For a brief period they experienced an issue with 147-grain jhp Gold Dots...but it was only in the compact and sub-compact service pistols of the day. The problem involved mostly Smith & Wesson handguns.
10 Απρ 2013 · I have been using 147 gr in my mp 9c and beretta m9a1 with great results. It gives me very tight groups out of my mp9c. Took my ccw class range test with it and my NRA instructors class also. I would trust my life with the 147 gr. Works for me!
