The Seversky XP-41 was a fighter aircraft built in the United States in 1939. A single prototype was modified from the last production Seversky P-35 by adding a new streamlined canopy, a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 -19 engine with a two-speed supercharger, and revised landing gear. [1] . The XP-41 first flew in March 1939.
The fins have a traditional flat layout - a single fin with a low mounting level surface. A small tail wheel is mounted under the structure for ground operation. The proposed weapons are modest: 1 x .50 caliber heavy machine gun (HMG) and 1 x .30 caliber medium machine gun (MMG).

The Vultee P-66 Vanguard was a United States Army Air Forces fighter aircraft. It was initially ordered by Sweden, but by the time the aircraft were ready for delivery in 1941, the United States would not allow them to be exported, designating them as P-66s and retaining them for defensive and training purposes.
