The Seversky XP-41 was a fighter aircraft built in the United States in 1939. A single prototype was modified from the last production Seversky P-35 by adding a new streamlined canopy, a Pratt & Whitney R-1830 -19 engine with a two-speed supercharger, and revised landing gear. [1] The XP-41 first flew in March 1939.
XP-41. The XP-41 made its first flight in March, 1939, shortly before the Seversky company threw out Major de Seversky as its CEO and changed its name to Republic Aviation Corporation. A maximum speed of 323 mph at 15,000 feet was attained. Maximum range was 1860 miles.

Seversky XP-41 - fighter. When, in 1936, the USAAC Materiel Division placed an order for the SEV-1XP as the P-35, it had stipulated that the 77th and last series aircraft be fitted with a more powerful supercharged engine.
