14 Δεκ 2017 · Many of you most likely know this story already, but the P-38 Glacier Girl was one of six P-38s and two B-17s that had to make an emergency landing on an icecap in Greenland on July 15th, 1942 due to inclement weather. The crews were collected unharmed and the 8 planes were left there to be eventually covered by snow and ice.
