ZlizEQMap is a map tool mainly designed for servers that emulate old versions of EverQuest. It features a local database of maps from the old EQAtlas website (now hosted on allakabor.com and tessmage.com), along with player positioning (x plotted on map), transparent overlay, waypoints, zone connections, and more.
The zone viewer includes zones from the first 5 or so expansions and map marker metadata from Goodurden. The main benefit is seeing how zones are actually laid out rather than 2d representations. Plus it's fun seeing all the hidden stuff the game devs used.
Based on feedback and also some ideas I had on deck, there are several new features available, the most notable one being a companion log parser that allows you to view your character's movements from any machine on your local network (or over the internet if you're savvy). Available under Navigation -> Advanced Map Parser.
