Complete the required application and turn it in at the Animal Care Office in your local area responsible for your state. A complete license application includes: an APHIS Form 7003-A, a $10 application fee, and; a Taxpayer ID Form.
A person or business with a pet dealer license from the Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) must comply with the relevant regulations of the Georgia Animal Protection Act. All laws and rules, as well as relevant forms, can be found on our main Pets page.
Breeders in the state of Georgia must meet the following requirements: Agree to abide by the RPB Code of Ethics. Have less than 10 breeding females. Be in compliance with the state and county/council animal number limits. Have all the necessary permits and licenses for dog and/or cat breeding for where you reside.
The Commissioner shall license pet dealers and kennel, stable, and animal shelter operators under the applicable provisions of Chapter 5 of Title 2, the “Department of Agriculture Registration, License, and Permit Act.”
