"Fighting for the freedom of pals." By murdering and attacking anyone on sight who has pals as well as there pals. Thats the whole vibe I get from them, but honestly just Syndicate goons with more crowds and different drop pools.
Like many have pointed out, at a certain point in the game pals just do not want to battle when thrown out to combat an enemy. They almost get stuck in an animation loop. It seems to be amplified during boss battles. I may have found a fix. I had 2 bases with 15 pals at each.

My Pals aren't fighting at all when I'm in a boss tunnel, boss tower, or just regular enemy NPC's attacking me. They just stand there. My base Pals are completely fine, but I dont kno whow to fix this.
