The Head Start Approach to School Readiness means that children are ready for school, families are ready to support their children’s learning and schools are ready for children. The following goals are the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary for success in school and life. 1.
CEO’s School Readiness Goals are developed in accordance with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, NYS Early Learning Guidelines, staff input, family input, and child assessment from Teaching Strategies GOLD. Goals are reviewed on an annual basis.
