29 Μαρ 2022 · How to use Seachem ParaGuard as a preventative treatment. When introducing new fish to your community tank, you also risk adding harmful parasites to your tank water.
ParaGuard™ is the only fish and filter safe aldehyde based (10% by weight) parasite control product available (for parasites on fish). Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard™ contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH.
Use 5 mL (1 capful) of ParaGuard™ for every 40 L (10 US gallons). Repeat this dose daily as required as long as fish show no stress. ParaGuard™ can also be used as a medicated dip. For 1 hour dips, use 3 mL per 4 L (1 US gallon) in a container separate from your main tank.
4 Μαΐ 2023 · Seachem Paraguard is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic, or dewormer, that can be used to treat parasites in both fresh and saltwater aquariums. The recommended dosage for Seachem Paraguard is one level spoonful of the powder (approximately 2 g) per 20 gallons of water.
ParaGuard™ is an in-water broad-spectrum medication that can be stressful to plants and invertebrates (corals, mushrooms, shrimp, crabs, etc.). It should not be used in tanks that contain plants or invertebrates for this reason.
