16 Νοε 2022 · Determine the total inductance in a circuit with parallel inductors with this inductors-in-parallel calculator.
Parallel Inductance Calculator. When several inductors are linked across the same voltage source to generate parallel branches, this configuration is known as parallel inductance in electrical circuits.
Three inductors of 60mH, 120mH and 75mH respectively, are connected together in a parallel combination with no mutual inductance between them. Calculate the total inductance of the parallel combination in millihenries.
Parallel inductance allows for the combination of individual inductors to create circuits with desired characteristics, such as impedance matching and filtering. Inductors connected in parallel share the same voltage across them while the total current is divided among them.
When inductors are connected in parallel, the total inductance is less than any one of the parallel inductors’ inductances. Again, remember that the definitive measure of inductance is the amount of voltage dropped across an inductor for a given rate of current change through it.
This parallel inductor calculator calculates the total parallel inductance of a circuit. This calculator allows up to 10 different inductor values. If you want to compute the total inductance of less than 10 inductors, just insert the values of the Inductors you have and leave the rest of the fields blank.
