Line 4 (French pronunciation: [liɲᵊ katʁᵊ]) is one of the sixteen lines of the Paris Métro rapid transit system and one of its three fully automated lines. Situated mostly within the boundaries of the City of Paris, it connects Porte de Clignancourt in the north and Bagneux-Lucie Aubrac in the south, travelling across the heart of the city.
Paris metro line 4 is special for having transfers with every other metro line, making it the second busiest line after the line 1. Among the four first metro lines, it was the first to cross the capital from north to south and go under the Seine.
Since January 2022, line 4 has enriched with two new stations located in the southern suburbs of Paris: the Barbara and Bagneux - Lucie Aubrac stations. The total length of line 4, underground over its entire route, is 14 km. The distance from one terminus to the other is covered in 36 minutes.
