We operate one of only two state-licensed youth shelters serving Milwaukee, representing half of the available beds in the city for youth. During and after their Shelter stay, we offer youth intensive counseling, case management and basic needs services that help them maintain safety and stability.

Who We Serve. Pathfinders brings safety, hope and healing to youth in crisis in the Greater Milwaukee area. Our youth are facing interconnected issues such as homelessness, sexual abuse, exploitation and trafficking, mental health challenges and many other forms of trauma.
Ensuring all youth are safe, healthy, independent and valued. The organization changed its name to Pathfinders Milwaukee, Inc. in order to reflect its growing expertise and strong reputation for serving youth and young adults ages 6-25 who are experiencing trauma and crisis.
• Within 72 hours of experiencing homelessness, 1 in 3 youth will trade sex to meet their basic needs (food, shelter, etc.). • 21% of homeless young women and 10% of homeless young men had been trafficked for sex, with even higher rates among LGBTQ+ youth. • Milwaukee is known as a national hub for human trafficking.
