We are testing PC800 RDRAM manufactured by Samsung, and as it is the older 16 bit serial type, we need to install them in matching pairs. Here we have two 128 MB PC800 RIMMS. Because RDRAM runs at such a high frequency, Rambus requires all memory manufacturers to add ramsinks to their RIMMS.
I bought some PC800 ECC RDRAM, and installed it in conjunction with my Non ECC RDRAM. My system did not start and returned me with 3 post beeps (RAM failure). The research I did into this was that PC800 ECC RDRAM was compatible with all Pentium 4's.

So, PC800 was a 16-bit memory model working at the actual frequency of 400 MHz (with the DDR equivalent of the bandwidth equal to 800 MHz). PC1066 is, roughly, the same PC800, only working at 533 MHz (1066 DDR MHz). PC3200 is based on the PC800 but instead of 16bit bus it has a 32bit one.
