  1. Check that the fluid level is above the LOWER LEVEL LINE. If the fluid level is near the LOWER LEVEL LINE, it indicates fluid leakage. See your authorized Honda dealer for this service.

  2. Check the automatic transmission fluid level (with the engine off and the car on level ground) with the dipstick in the right end of the transmission housing. Remove the dipstick and wipe it off. Insert the dipstick, remove it again, and read the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the upper and lower marks.

  3. Correct level. FILLER BOLT. Check the fluid level with the transmission at normal operating temperature and the vehicle sitting on level ground. Remove the transmission filler bolt and carefully feel inside the bolt hole with your finger. The fluid level should be up to the edge of the bolt hole.
