24 Νοε 2006 · SCV butterflies are closed only from idle - 2400 RPM. They close using a vacuum signal from a solenoid controlled by the ECU. When RPMs go over 2400, the ECU opens the butterflies simply by closing the solenoid to interrupt vacuum to the SCV actuator.
5 Ιουν 2010 · I had a so called engine builder build me a block and since I have had it been nothing but problems internally. The problem I'm having is the timing chain is not aligning correctly. Instead of straight up and down its at about 10-15degree angle with the bottom sticking out more.
Here are the experiences I can recall, with the fixes in parenthesis. -alternator (after a lot of coolant falls on it. Replaced) -bov leak (spring change) -vacuum leak (smoke testers are awesome) -gasket going bad (changed intake and exhaust manifold gaskets.
5 Δεκ 2022 · Honestly, i'd suggest keeping your current engine until you know how to handle the car, then swap once the engine is done for, or you got it well in hands and want more power. A "reliable" boosted KA means a built KA, not throwing parts at it but building it entirely, have the bores honed and so on.
