This driver supports the Microsoft Xbox series of controllers including: Original Xbox. Original Xbox controllers are supported by using a USB adapter. Xbox 360. Wired Xbox 360 controllers are supported directly. As of macOS 10.11, Wireless Xbox 360 controller support causes kernel panics.

Has anyone had any luck connecting a PDP brand Xbox one wired controller to their Mac? I have a 2012 MacBook Pro running OSX El Capitan 10.11.3. I have used the driver software from Github and it detects my controller, but my Mac doesn't seem to power the controller (controller doesn't light up or vibrate upon plugging in, as it does on my PC).

Hmmm I am no expert on MacOS but see if this driver can make your controller compatible with Mac https://github.com/360Controller/360Controller/releases
