Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) also known as Reductant is a fluid comprised of highly purified and deionized water and urea. DEF is highly corrosive. Avoid exposure to electrical components. It is normal for DEF to freeze at temperatures below 120F/-110C. Only API certified DEF should be used in Ford reductant systems.
