Child & Adolescent Program. We provide a supportive environment for children (age 3-12) and adolescents (age 13-17), where they and their families have an opportunity to better understand their illness and begin learning skills to better cope with life-issues that may threaten their mental health.
The Pediatric Feeding Disorders Inpatient Program offers comprehensive, interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment of children with impairment of oral intake or appetite who require 24-hour nursing, medical supervision, or fluid intake.
Our psychiatry inpatient program is a family-centered setting focusing on crisis stabilization, intensive evaluation and short-term treatment for problems affecting children and adolescents, ages 3 through 17 years. Our unit serves patients who require 24-hour care.

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) is a 12-bed inpatient unit located within the main campus of Texas Children’s Hospital. The IRU provides medical and rehabilitation nursing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week with therapy services Monday through Saturday.
