Sign up for the FTC’s National Do Not Call Registry and ask your phone provider about robocalling blocking options to reduce the number of scam calls you get.

Several phone companies and app developers offer call-blocking and labeling services that detect whether a call is likely to be fraudulent based on call patterns, consumer complaints or other means.

12 Μαΐ 2021 · Hang up on robocalls. Use call blocking. Visit ftc.gov/calls to learn to block calls on your cell phone and home phone. The FTC continues to go after the companies and scammers behind these calls, so please report unwanted calls at donotcall.gov. If you’ve lost money to a scam call, tell us at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
If your number is being spoofed, blocked, or labeled as potential spam, you will need to select “unwanted calls/texts” as the Phone Issue and then “my own number is being spoofed” as the sub-issue.
