Martin Perry Bechtel OM-28 1993 SN: 531146. This OM is part of Martin's "28" series with a herringbone top purfle. Made from solid East Indian rosewood with a solid Sitka spruce top, it also features a solid black ebony fingerboard. The OM28 sounds exactly like a fine guitar should sound.

Soon after, Perry Bechtel of the Cable Piano Company, upon visiting the Martin factory and seeing the Carl Fisher Model, requested a fourteen fret clear six string guitar, and the Orchestra Model was born.

30 Απρ 2019 · The banjo players, led by a fellow named Perry Bechtel, asked Martin to make a guitar with greater access to the neck and a slimmer neck. Frank Henry Martin came up with this design, which had 14 frets.
I have a very unique 000-28 Perry Bechtel. It is #2 in the run of 29. This is unique in that it is a 14-fret guitar with a 1 13/16" nut. It is my favorite Martin neck. It is in incredible, almost unplayed condition. It is a very versatile guitar, equally handling fingerpicking and flatpicking.
