People may select a choice based on personal values and beliefs, as well as their own perceptions of the consequences of making a given choice. It is therefore important to provide support and guidance to help individuals find clarity in their decision-making process.

Professional nursing values are the standards and principles nurses embrace and follow in their role as care providers and healthcare team members. Nursing values are what many call the moral knowledge that promotes ethical behaviors and attitudes of nurses.
5 Ιουλ 2019 · Core values of nursing include altruism, autonomy, human dignity, integrity, honesty and social justice [3]. The core ethical values are generally shared within the global community, and they are a reflection of the human and spiritual approach to the nursing profession.
Belief profiles identified unique subsets of nurses that have distinct characteristics. Categorizing nurses by belief patterns may help administrators and educators to tailor interventions aimed at improving nursing diagnosis use in practice.
Six themes emerged which describe the experiences of nurses during the exploration of individual and team workplace values which were then developed into shared visions.
