Malaysia Batik Art Integrated Centre is reinvent as such of ‘urban theme park’ for tourist and the local adults and children for a unique experience that features promenade, roof garden, observation deck, Malaysian food street and etc.
The modernisation of Malaysia brought about many positive changes, but it has also impacted culture, predominantly Malay batik authenticity. This review will share clear insight into how this scenario provided cultural context and meaning related to the Malaysian traditional batik motif.
This paper adopted systematic literature review analysis using PRISMA 2009 framework to identify Malaysian batik’s current design motifs and characteristics. Many of the identified scholars have attempted to produce and innovate new and contemporary batik design motifs for the Malaysian landscape.
