5 Μαρ 2012 · There are certain posts on MySQL connection set time out from PHP using mysql.connect_timeout. I want to know if this set timeout from PHP just time out the initial connection to MySQL or valid for a particular query to database?
Most MySQL functions accept link_identifier as the last optional parameter. If it is not provided, last opened connection is used. If it doesn't exist, connection is tried to establish with default parameters defined in php.ini. If it is not successful, functions return false.
set_time_limit (int $seconds): bool. Set the number of seconds a script is allowed to run. If this is reached, the script returns a fatal error. The default limit is 30 seconds or, if it exists, the max_execution_time value defined in the php.ini. When called, set_time_limit () restarts the timeout counter from zero.
