Lectures in systemic and random error analysis, basic mechanical and electrical measurement techniques, elementary circuit analysis, graphical and computer analysis of data and general principles of experimental and laboratory technique.
The Department of Physics offers a broad range of research programs in both fundamental and applied physics. Because of our faculty’s numerous international collaborations, physics undergraduate and graduate students have opportunities to participate in internationally visible scientific programs.

The Department of Physics offers both Master of Science and Doctorate of Philosophy degrees in physics. Physicists generally are recognized for their ability to experimentally investigate and theoretically model the real world in ways that further our understanding of it.
1 Recommended courses include MATH F314, MATH F410 and MATH F432. 2 Students must take ACCT F261X, MATH F253X and PHYS F220 before taking these courses, or have permission of the MBA director.
8 Οκτ 2024 · In addition to the College of Natural Science and Mathematics Admission Requirements, the Department of Physics requires a bachelor’s degree in physical science or engineering and recommends the GRE advanced test in physics.
22 Αυγ 2012 · Students who choose to major in physics must meet the following requirements in addition to the special requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree: Physics: 31 semester hours (23 advanced) which must include PHYS 1321, 1121, 1322, 1122, 3110, and 3315. Advanced courses must include 3313, and either 3312 and 3112 or 4421. ENGL 1303.
