A spreadsheet consists of a collection of cells arranged in a big table. The cells are labeled by their column and row location (see Table 1 below). For example cell A4 is in the first column, the fourth cell down. A cell can contain a label (text), a number, or a formula.
There are three variables: the initial horizontal velocity, call it v_x_init, the initial vertical velocity v_y_init, and the acceleration due to gravity g. In contrast to our earlier spreadsheets on falling objects, we will now take the upward direction to be positive.
30 Ιαν 2021 · I would like to be able to setup and compute physics formulas in Excel that operate on both the values and the dimensions. For example, the metric formula for computing the velocity (v) of a falling object after time (t) second with an initial velocity (v0) is: v = g*t+v0, where g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s^2).
Getting Started. This tutorial will lead you through the steps to create a graph and perform linear regression analysis using an Excel spreadsheet. The techniques presented here can be used to analyze practically any set of data you will encounter in your introductory physics lab.
