6 Μαΐ 2008 · I have had to replace two alternators so far. I bring it up the back of the engine - basically the way it is shown on the U tube video. The second time I make shifted a pulley on the top of the engine so I could attach a rope to the alternator as I was bringing it up the back.
26 Αυγ 2016 · So the factory alternator finally died at ~170K and I figured it'll be easier than on a V6. I've got the shield and upper & lower air ducts removed, the alternator is unbolted. I can't figure out how to it out through the top.
3 Μαρ 2012 · I found some of this information helpful but for the 2.3L Escapes you do not have to remove the intake manifold but to get the alternator out you must remove the heat sheild off of the headers.
