Gust/Wing attack Pidgeot is by a mile more impactful than Seaking, Charizard, or Zapdos, and is probably still more impactful than Dewgong - which also requires an elite charge TM to be at all useful.
You don't HAVE to burn an Elite TM for Gust or Wing Attack if you don't want to, and Pidgeot will still be a very potent PvP Pokemon. I want to stress that point up front, because it's also the main impression I hope to build the case for with the rest of this article.
You can even use UL Pidgeot as Mega, since they share their best moveset (Gust/Brave Bird - plus Feather Dance for UL) and 100% IVs (15/15/15).
6 Ιουλ 2010 · Mega Pidgeot's great speed can offer Tailwind / Defog support and great scouting. With No Guard and the Special Attack boost after Mega Evolution, Hurricane can hit hard and accurately. Magnezone/Heatran and Skarmony can wall Pidgeot, and Hidden Power Ground and Heat Wave can deal with them respectively.

7 Σεπ 2021 · In my analysis I looked at the most common Pidgeot: ones running Gust. Replies and DMs then blew up with questions on Wing Attack and even Air Slash as alternatives… and so here we are! The one move nobody brings up is Steel Wing , and it’s understandable why.
