1 | Anatomy of the Pig. The Heart. The heart and lungs are both located in a region of the pig known as the thoracic cavity, which is separated from the digestive system by the diaphragm, a thin, sheet-like muscle. Between the lungs we find the heart swaddled in the pericardial sac.
