The driver has a titanium body with weights located near the heel and toe to reduce spin and produce longer drives. Variable face thickness increases forgiveness on mis-hits.
28 Αυγ 2008 · The Ping Rapture V2 regular shaft driver is a very nice club. Great looks, sits nicely behind the ball, solid feel on all drives. A slightly lower trajectory than my King Cobra driver and is more expensive but unfortunately delivers very little extra distance.

While it will only be available as a 2-iron (18°), tungsten in the heel and toe of the sole help increase the MOI, which should make it a lot more forgiving than a long iron. It also has a wider sole than a typical iron, and more camber, to work through the turf more easily.

14 Μαΐ 2009 · After hitting numerous drivers at a recent local demo day, the V2 was hands down the best driver I have hit, including the original Rapture. I now have a 9* V2 with a Diamana BB 63S in my bag! About 15 yards longer and much more consistant in hitting fairways!
For those who have had a 2-iron in the bag before, part of the allure is the opportunity to hit a low bullet or a sweeping draw. The Rapture encourages the player to work the ball, and thanks to the wide sole and forgiving face, players can do so without worrying about ugly mishits that are often synonymous with the two.
