22 Απρ 2010 · You will have to open the receiver, access the pot, desolder and remove it, then open the pot. This is the hard part, since it was never intended to be repaired. Be careful how you open it, or it will never look the same.

Since this is my first attempt at diagnosing and recapping, I'm wanted to restate the issue so people know I'm coming at this as an eager novice.

A modern receiver with that level of sound quality is near impossible to find at that price. But a vintage receiver in need of repair will run you about 30 bucks, and can be brought back to better-than-factory condition for about 50 to 70 dollars, plus a couple hours of your time.
8 Νοε 2016 · If amplifier turns itself off when speakers connected, check their impedance, check the wiring of the speaker that caused it to stop working. If the amplifier is still turning off with no speakers or wires connected to the amp., it will have to be opened and checked for bad components.
17 Μαΐ 2018 · On speaking with Pioneer and a couple of their authorised repair centres it appears to have gone into “protection mode”. Factory reset tried with no joy. The receiver is out of warranty and no one can give me an idea on cost of repair!!
